HISTORY

Family owned for over 75 years, Crawford Farms is one of the largest Fall attraction farms in Central Kentucky. Whether your idea of excitement is petting gentle farm animals, strolling down a scenic nature trail, climbing up a colossal hay mound, maneuvering your way through a corn maze or just picking the perfect pumpkin, there is something for everyone at Crawford Farms.
Crawford Farms diversified into pumpkin production in 1988. Since that time, the scope and variety of pumpkins, squash and gourds regularly expanded. Initially, Billy and Shirley Crawford with their children Teresa and Mason, implemented the concept of Agri-tourism even before the phrase came into regular usage.
A three generation operation, Crawford Farms hosted field trips for students from several area school districts and was a supplier of pumpkins to wholesalers and retail establishments as well as directly to the public. In 2002, patriarch Billy passed away from cancer. Although difficult, the rest of the family toiled on through that season. The decision was made to close the retail portion of the business the subsequent year.
In 2008, Mason, Teresa and her husband Marty Lee reopened Crawford Pumpkin Farm and it steadily experienced growth to once again offer the greatest diversity of produce and Fall family attractions in Central Kentucky. With a wide variety of hay sculptures and a rustic atmosphere, the farm makes an ideal backdrop for photos that capture the festive season. Our Barnyard Marketplace is larger than ever and provides samplings of the over 50 varieties of locally grown pumpkins, squash and gourds.
Special features such as barrel train rides for the kids, hayrides for all and affordable concessions make for an all inclusive Fall destination. Take advantage of our season pass that provides for repeated wholesome fun, group rates and party packages that offer great savings. Crawford Farms now accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover in addition to local checks and cash.
